The Japan Academy Prize-winning Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba The Movie: Infinity Castle is bringing its supernatural anime action to additional screens this month. Hulu has revealed the film’s upcoming release with a new teaser and exclusive artwork, marking September 28 as the premiere date.
The initial chapter of the epic trilogy that wraps up the worldwide hit anime franchise, Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle became a global theatrical sensation, shattering box office records and receiving critical praise.
Synopsis: After experiencing the loss of his family and witnessing his younger sister transform into a demon, Tanjiro Kamado joins the Demon Slayer Corps to seek revenge. The leader of the Twelve Kizuki captures Lady Tamayo following Ubuyashiki’s failed attempt to stop him, thrusting Tanjiro, Zenitsu, Inosuke, and the Hashira into the demons’ fortress, the Infinity Castle. Now, they are tasked with battling some of their fiercest adversaries.

Infinity Castle is directed by Haruo Sotozaki — who also directed the franchise’s 2020 box office success Mugen Train and the Demon Slayer TV series — with screenplay and production handled by ufotable. Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is based on the manga series by Koyoharu Gotoge, published in Shueisha’s Weekly Jump from February 2016 to May 2020. The manga is comprised of 23 volumes and has sold over 200 million copies.
Prior to the film’s release on the platform, Hulu subscribers can enjoy streaming the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Mugen Train Arc, Entertainment District Arc, Swordsmith Village Arc, and Hashira Training Arc in both dubbed and subtitled formats.
