Does Japan have equal rights?
This article explores the current state of equal rights in Japan, looking at issues such as gender equality, racial equality, LGBTQ+ rights, and the rights of disabled people and foreigners. Despite some progress made towards ensuring equal rights for all citizens within Japanese society over recent decades, there is still much work that needs done before true equality can be achieved. Discrimination against foreign workers is one of the most pressing issues regarding equal rights in Japan today.
