This article explores the difficulty of learning kanji, a type of character set in the Japanese language. It is considered to be the hardest to learn due to its complexity and large number of characters (over 50,000!). Tips are provided on how to learn it effectively such as starting with the most commonly used kanji first, practicing reading out loud using books written entirely in Japanese, and using mnemonics. Other types of difficult characters such as katakana and furigana are also discussed.
