Is school in Japan free?
Primary and secondary education in Japan is technically free, but parents are required to pay for textbooks, uniforms, and other fees. High school education is not free, and students must pay tuition fees. However, scholarships are available for both high school and higher education, along with student loans and work programs to help cover the cost of expenses. Private schools in Japan also require tuition fees to be paid by students or their parents.
