What does inemuri mean in Japanese?
Inemuri is a traditional Japanese practice of sleeping or resting during work or school hours while still appearing to be engaged. It has been part of Japanese culture for centuries and recent studies have shown that it can improve concentration, alertness, creativity, and reduce stress levels. Guidelines exist on how to do it properly, as well as social norms to maintain respect towards those around you. It is becoming increasingly popular in Japan and some companies around the world have started introducing nap rooms into their office spaces.
