This article compares the economic development levels of China and Japan, looking at indicators such as GDP per capita, life expectancy at birth, unemployment rate, poverty rate and educational attainment levels. It also looks at infrastructure developments, innovation & technology developments between the two countries. The comparison suggests that while both countries have strong economies they are still not on par when it comes to overall development levels with Japan being slightly ahead.
