Is Japan safe from tsunami?
Japan has experienced numerous tsunamis throughout its history due to its location on the Pacific Ring of Fire. In order to prepare for future disasters, the Japanese government has implemented several measures such as building sea walls, reinforcing existing structures, and creating stricter regulations for new construction projects. Additionally, they have an extensive early warning system in place with seismometers that detect potential earthquakes before they happen and evacuation plans developed by local governments. Other safety measures include installing vertical evacuation towers and educational campaigns to teach people what to do during a tsunami warning. Despite these precautions, there is still risk involved when living near bodies of water so it is important to be prepared just in case.
