Japan is facing a number of economic, political, social, environmental and technological challenges in 2022 that could have serious implications for its economy and society. To address these issues, the Japanese government has taken steps to increase investment into research & development projects, improve immigration laws & policies, develop cyber security measures & ethical guidelines for AI technologies, engage diplomatically with neighboring countries regarding territorial disputes, and expand international cooperation initiatives aimed at containing North Korea’s nuclear ambitions.
