Which language has more scope French or Japanese?
This article compares French and Japanese to determine which language has more scope and potential for growth in the future. French is a Romance language that is widely spoken in Europe, particularly in France, Belgium, Switzerland, Luxembourg and Monaco. It is also one of the official languages of the United Nations and is used in many international organizations such as the European Union. Japanese is an East Asian language spoken mainly in Japan by over 125 million people. French has a wide range of uses both domestically as well as internationally due to its status as an official UN language while Japanese has a much narrower scope but still plays an important role globally due to Japan’s economic powerhouses. According to Ethnologue's 2020 report on World Languages, French ranks 5th with over 220 million speakers while Japanese ranks 9th with approximately 128 million speakers. Therefore, learning both languages could potentially open up new career prospects or business opportunities either domestically within France itself or internationally across Europe through diplomatic missions requiring knowledge this language.
