Why didn’t Japan discover America?
This article examines the various factors that contributed to why Japan did not discover America first, such as its geographical location relative to North American shores, its isolationist policies, lack of resources and technology available, preoccupation with internal affairs, political system, religion, financial limitations and cultural attitudes towards risk-taking. All these factors combined created an environment where exploration missions overseas were deemed too risky or too expensive for most people living within the country at the time.
