The Observation Records of My Fiancée (Jishou Akuyaku Reijou na Konyakusha no Kansatsu Kiroku) series is authored by Shiki and illustrated by Wan Hachipisu. Published by Alphapolis, the series debuted in 2017, featuring two volumes released that same year under the Regina Books imprint.
Hanashi Media outlines the plot as:
Exceptionally gifted yet burdened by it, Prince Cecil found his life dreadfully mundane. One day, everything changed when he became engaged to Miss Bertia, the daughter of the Chancellor. This engagement was anything but ordinary.
“Prince Cecil! I must confess – I am the villain of this story!” Bertia’s revelation was shocking. She claimed to retain memories from a previous life as the antagonist of an “Otome game.” Her ambitious objective was to thrive as a villainess, aiming for her engagement to be annulled. Despite her schemes for nefarious deeds, all her efforts turn out to be fruitless.

Could her fiancé, who desires to refine his villainous skills, simply be misled in his pursuits?
Observation Records of My Fiancée originated as a Shousetsuka ni Narou web novel and has since inspired a manga adaptation.
A sequel series entitled Jishou Akuyaku Reijou na Tsuma no Kansatsu Kiroku is also in the works, with its fifth volume and the third volume of its manga set for simultaneous release on May 27, 2025 JST.
