Summer Pockets Releases Latest Trailer for 4-Part Theatrical Compilation Films & New Ending Theme Video

A new trailer has been unveiled for the upcoming four-part theatrical compilation edition films of the Summer Pockets TV anime adaptation. The anime series debuted in Japan on April 7, 2025, and is airing for two consecutive cours, featuring a total of 26 episodes.

The theatrical screening schedule for the four compilation films was announced earlier this month, having been first revealed this past June. The compilation films will be shown in 26 theaters throughout Japan, with the schedule as follows:

  • • August 15-21, 2025: Kamome Kushima Arc
  • • August 22-28, 2025: Tsumugi Wenders Arc
  • • August 29-September 4, 2025: Ao Sorakado Arc
  • • September 5-11, 2025: Shiroha Naruse Arc

Additionally, a new creditless ending animation video and song have been revealed. The song in the new ending video is “Maho no Enikki” performed by Konomi Kohara and Aimi Tanaka, representing their characters Shiroha and Umi.

Tomoki Kobayashi (Remake Our Life!, Seiren) is directing the anime series, with Mai Otsuka (The Demon Girl Next Door) serving as character designer, Keiichiro Ochi (Go, Go, Loser Ranger!, The Many Sides of Voice Actor Radio) as the series screenwriter, Sari Tagawa (Remake Our Life!) as the color designer, Shunichiro Yoshihara (Dr.STONE, Bubble) as the background art director, Fumito Nanba (Remake Our Life!) as the compositing director, and Makoto Takigasaki (The Yakuza’s Guide to Babysitting) as the animation producer. Feel. is responsible for the animation production.

The original Summer Pockets visual novel was published by Key in June 2018 for PC, iOS, and Android. Following that, a Switch and Steam release occurred in 2019 and 2020, respectively. The game features original character designs from artists Na-Ga, Tsubasu Izumi, Yunon Nagayama, and Fumuyun.
An updated game titled Summer Pockets Reflection Blue, introducing new heroines and routes, was launched in 2020 for PC and Android, in 2021 for iOS and Switch, and in 2022 for PS4. A standard edition equipped with Windows 11 support and bonus physical items was released in September 2024. Reflection Blue was also available on Steam on June 27, 2025, supporting Japanese, English, and Simplified Chinese.

Crunchyroll is streaming the Summer Pockets anime worldwide, outside of Japan. It outlines the main synopsis as:
Hairi Takahara never anticipated summer to resemble a dream. Sent to Torishirojima to sort through his late grandmother’s belongings, he encounters endless sea, quiet nostalgia, and enigmatic girls, each pursuing something just beyond their grasp. As he adjusts to island life, buried memories resurface, revealing what he never realized he had lost.
