Lasting just 24 seconds, the teaser doesn’t provide much detail but offers a glimpse of the two main characters — vampire detective Arne Neuntöte and the vampire-enthusiast, noble-born Lynn Reinweiß — along with the announcement of a January 2026 premiere and key staff details.
Keisuke Inoue (My Next Life as a Villainess, the upcoming My Stepmother and Stepsisters Aren’t Wicked) is directing the anime at SILVER LINK, sharing series composition duties with Murasaki (likely the co-developer from the original game, HARUMURASAKI). Akiko Sato (A Condition Called Love character designer and co-chief animation director) serves as the character designer and chief animation director, while Yoshiaki Fujisawa (Takopi’s Original Sin) composes the music.
The Case Book of Arne draws inspiration from a 2D mystery-adventure game that first appeared in 2017 on the Game Magazine website in a serialized format (Game Magazine is also credited with development). It later debuted on Steam in 2020. The Steam description of the story states:
Arne Neuntöte is a vampire detective who manipulates supernatural powers.
Lynn Reinweiß is a nobleman’s daughter who loves vampires.
Their worlds should never have crossed, but they join forces to solve a bloody mystery.

In the darkest of nights, Lynn finds herself in urgent need of assistance.
She then wanders into the enigmatic city of “Lügenberg,” where non-humans reside.
Lynn’s life changes significantly when she meets “Arne,” a vampire labeled “the worst” in the city.
And tonight, a new “murder case” has unfolded.
What is the reality behind the strange occurrences within a realm where humanity and the bizarre collide?
“Come on, human. You may dance merrily under the crimson moon.”
Additionally, there’s a manga published by KADOKAWA, illustrated by Soraho Ina, compiled into four volumes.
