©松井優征／集英社・アニメ「暗殺教室」製作委員会2025Korosensei and his students are set to return in anime format on March 20, 2026 JST with the Assassination Classroom: Minna no Jikan (Gekijoban “Ansatsu Kyoshitsu” Minna no Jikan) film. A teaser visual and trailer have been unveiled.
Japanese media indicate that the movie will include content that hasn’t been adapted before.

• Director: Masaki Kitamura (Gundam Evolve Episode 10, Mobile Suit Gundam 00 co-assistant director)
• Scriptwriter: Makoto Uezu (Assassination Classroom TV series composer and scriptwriter)
• Character designer: Aya Higami (After-school Hanako-kun co-character designer)
• Animation production: Lerche
The Assassination Classroom anime is based on the manga by Yusei Matsui, which was serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump from 2012 to 2016. Viz Media summarizes the story as:
Meet the would-be assassins of class 3-E: Sugino, who allowed his grades to drop and was removed from the baseball team. Karma, who excels academically but often faces suspensions for fighting. And Okuda, who struggles both academically and socially, yet shines in one subject: chemistry. Who stands the best chance of succeeding in their mission? Will it be through compassion, brute strength, or poison…? And can their teacher help to restore their shattered self-confidence?

This new anime film marks the third and final installment of the anime’s 10th anniversary projects (Season 1 debuted in 2015), which began announcements in 2024. The first initiative was a rebroadcast of the two seasons of the TV anime, while the second featured Assassination Classroom on the All Night Nippon GOLD radio program in August 2025.
The manga has also inspired a live-action film.
