Kaiju No. 8: The Game Receives October 1 Steam Release Date

Kaiju No. 8 The Game has announced that its global Steam release date will be October 1.

The turn-based RPG and gacha game was previously launched for mobile devices on August 31 JST, where it recently updated to Version 1.1.0. The official X/Twitter account reported on September 12 that it surpassed 3 million downloads.

Kaiju No. 8 The Game includes an original narrative for its main storyline that features mysterious Kaiju Dimensional Gates. In addition, there is an original character named Sagan Shinomiya, who is voiced by Akari Kito and serves as a non-blood related elder sibling to Kikoru Shinomiya.

“Our goal was to develop a character that is closely linked to the anime cast so that fans of the series can fully enjoy the game. We aimed to avoid creating a character that would significantly disrupt the anime’s storyline,” developer Akatsuki Games’ Yu Sasaki (project leader) and Tomonobu Nozawa (producer) explained to Anime Trending prior to the game’s launch. They also portrayed the shield-bearing head of the CLOZER special unit (responsible for investigating the Kaiju Dimensional Gates) as a “strong leader” with a “charming, somewhat scatterbrained” personality.
