Japanese singer-songwriter Wanuka has unveiled an anime music video for the song “Saishinwa” (“Latest Episode”), the ending theme for the A Star Brighter Than the Sun TV anime adaptation. The video portrays two young individuals, including a boy reminiscent of Makeine‘s Kazuhiko Nukumizu, as their relationship evolves during their time spent together in a library.
This warm, short anime features cozy, nostalgic colors and a wealth of manga-inspired visuals, whether it’s simply the lyrics appearing in panels or scenes illustrated in manga style. Mariyasu (“Sayonara End Doll,” “Ghost Avenue”) directs the production and animation of the video, while KEKE is credited for the background art.
“Saishinwa” is currently accessible via digital streaming. A Star Brighter Than the Sun is being aired as part of the Fall 2025 anime season.
