‘Yuri!!! On Ice’ Glides into NorAm Theaters for 10th Anniversary Screening

Tickets are available now for Yuri!!! On ICE (anniversary), a special event celebrating the popular anime series’ 10th anniversary. The initial five episodes will be shown in select theaters for one night only on Monday, October 19 at 7 p.m. (local time) in the U.S. and Canada as a part of Crunchyroll’s monthly Anime Nights theatrical series.

Yuri!!! on ICE tracks Japanese figure skater Yuri Katsuki as he seeks gold alongside his coach and idol, five-time world champion Victor Nikiforov. Since it first aired in 2016, the series has received acclaim from critics, fans, and professional figure skaters alike.

Crunchyroll Anime Nights is a monthly theatrical initiative created to celebrate the past, enhance the present, and look forward to the future of anime with an exceptional viewing experience on the big screen every third Monday of the month.

The program will take place in over 280 theaters across various chains throughout the U.S. and Canada, including Alamo Drafthouse Cinema, AMC Theatres, Regal, Cinemark Theatres, Harkins Theatres, and Landmark Cinemas across the U.S., as well as Canada-Cineplex and Landmark of Canada throughout Canada.

Future Anime Nights events include Dive in Wonderland (November) and a December Sneak Peek at upcoming Crunchyroll streaming titles.

Synopsis: Aspirations, a collective enthusiasm — on the ice, it’s called love. After experiencing a devastating defeat at the Grand Prix Final, Japan’s top skater, Yuri Katsuki, considers quitting his skating career. However, when his idol and five-time champion Victor Nikiforov extends an offer to coach him, Yuri embarks on a quest for gold and to uncover the true essence of triumph! Together, they will confront competitors from various corners of the globe.
