The opening theme song sequence for Chainsaw Man — The Movie: Reze Arc — a mix of regular montage and traditional anime opening — has been unveiled on YouTube in a collaboration video featuring Kenshi Yonezu (performing the opening song “IRIS OUT”) and Mappa.
Chainsaw Man — The Movie: Reze Arc premiered in Japan on September 19 JST and will be available in North America on October 24.
“IRIS OUT” made its digital debut on September 15 JST, with a double A-side single launched (which also includes the ending song “JANE DOE,” featuring collaboration with Utada Hikaru) on September 24 JST. “IRIS OUT” reached the fifth position on the Billboard Global 200 chart.
Chainsaw Man — The Movie: Reze Arc continues the story from 2022’s Chainsaw Man TV anime, introducing protagonist Denji as he encounters Reze, who shows a notable interest in him. The anime is based on the supernatural action manga published by Shueisha, written by Tatsuki Fujimoto, which Viz Media describes as follows:
