©榛名丼/KADOKAWA/レプリカだって、恋をする。The Even A Replica Falls In Love TV anime adaptation announced in February has now received updates including a teaser trailer, a visual, and a premiere date set for 2026. Additional details concerning the cast and staff have also emerged.
Sumire Moroboshi is lending her voice to both the titular replica, Nao, and her original, Sunao Aikawa. The staff lineup features:
• Director: Ryuichi Kimura (Aikatsu!, Mononogatari, Kemono Friends 2)
• Series composer and co-scriptwriter: Tomoko Shinozuka (co-scriptwriter of You Are Ms. Servant)
• Character designer: Eiji Abiko (character designer for Mr Osomatsu Seasons 3 and 4)
• Animation production: Voil

When she doesn’t feel well, when there’s a test, when she doesn’t want to go to school… I take her place. I’m her replica. I’m not intended for anything more. That changed when love found me. I style my hair differently so the boy I’m in love with will realize it’s me. We skip school and vow to meet again the next day, and every day thereafter. I’m her replica. Everything about me is borrowed and empty, but my heart belongs to me.
