It also inspired a special episode in 1984 and a 46-episode series titled Kinnikuman: Kinnikusei Oui Soudatsu-hen in 1991.

The original Kinnikuman manga series was developed by Yudetamago and was first serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump from May 26, 1979, until May 4, 1987.
