©クール教信者・双葉社/ドラゴン生活向上委員会Japanese enka singer Sachiko Kobayashi is set to join the cast of the new Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid: A Lonely Dragon Wants to be Loved anime film. The film is scheduled to start screening in Japanese theaters on June 27, 2025.
Kobayashi will lend her voice to Felicitas, a dragon in Kimun Kamui’s army. Additionally, she will perform the main ending theme “Bokutachi no Hibi.”
Part of the storyline of A Lonely Dragon Wants to be Loved is summarized as:
The average office worker, Miss Kobayashi. Dragons congregate after being drawn to Miss Kobayashi. Suddenly, there is a visitor for the young dragon, Kanna. Surprisingly, he turns out to be Kanna’s actual father.
Kyoto Animation previously brought to life the 2017 TV series Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid, its 2021 sequel Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid S, and the short form ONA MiniDora (Mini Dragon).
The original manga series by Coolkyousinnjya first appeared in Futabasha’s Monthly Action magazine on May 25, 2013, before it was transferred to MANGA Action magazine in 2024 due to the former ceasing publication. Sixteen tankobon volumes have been published as of February 2025, with a 17th volume scheduled for release on June 12, 2025. Seven Seas Entertainment publishes the manga in English, along with its various spinoff titles.
