My Hero Academia has launched the “Hero too -10th Anniversary version-,” performed by Eri on major music streaming platforms following the premiere of the franchise’s new anniversary anime short, I am a hero too. Vocalist Myka Morton provides the vocals for Eri’s rendition featured in the anniversary short.
The song made its debut in the approximately six-minute special, which started streaming internationally on August 2 (August 3 in Japan). The short is part of the anime’s ongoing 10th anniversary celebration and is now available on various streaming services, including Netflix, Prime Video, Crunchyroll, and more.

Initially featured during the Pro Hero arc, “Hero too” was first sung by Kyoka Jiro at U.A. High School’s School Festival. The updated version showcases Eri performing the song after the main series events.
I am a hero too centers on Eri as she gets ready for a musical performance, reflecting on those who inspired her. This notably includes Deku and Lemillion, who were instrumental in rescuing her from Overhaul and helping her achieve her dream.
This release is part of My Hero Academia‘s 10th anniversary campaign, which has featured fresh promotional artwork, events, and the newly unveiled My Hero Academia 10th Anniversary Shop: Top 10 Heroes, displaying merchandise inspired by Kohei Horikoshi’s “World Best Hero” popularity poll illustration.

Kohei Horikoshi illustrated the My Hero Academia manga for Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump from July 2014 until August 2024. The series concluded last year after a decade-long run, receiving a multitude of illustrations and messages for its conclusion.
The anime adaptation premiered in April 2016 and has evolved into one of the most popular contemporary shonen franchises globally. It wrapped up with Episode 170 on December 13, 2025.
Horikoshi is also making a return to the magazine with a new 61-page horror one-shot titled Don’t Laugh, Shijima-san, marking his first one-shot since the conclusion of My Hero Academia. This manga will be featured in the combined Weekly Shonen Jump Issue 37/38 on August 10.
