The mixed-media animated video features the members of the BanG Dream! band MyGO!!!!! enjoying a getaway to the seaside town of Hayama, inspired by director Nowoka‘s visit with friends to Kyoto’s Ine town and the impression it left.
The sequence of images and clips that follow often gives the impression of being captured by one of the girls, conveying a nostalgic feeling akin to browsing through a gallery. The character performances and subdued color palette enhance the video’s ambiance.
In addition to directing, Nowoka (“Pain Give Form” and “Shinitai Himawari” music videos) also handled the storyboards, unit direction, character design, and animation direction. Studio Nowoka is credited for the animation production.

“Egakumirai” will be available for digital release on September 19 JST. The track features a collaboration with Aqua Timez’ Futoshi and Daisuke, with Futoshi taking on the roles of lyricist and composer, while Daisuke is responsible for arrangement.
