This video made its debut during a special program dedicated to the anime series’ 10th anniversary. The track, named “Hikari Are,” was the opening theme for the third season of Haikyuu!!
The video not only marks the series’ 10-year anniversary but also serves as a tribute to the Sendai City Gymnasium. It includes scenes and characters from the Haikyuu!! manga, complemented by images of the actual gym as a backdrop.
Sendai City Gymnasium, known in Japanese as Kamei Arena Sendai, is an indoor sports venue situated in Sendai City within Miyagi Prefecture, Japan. It was featured in the anime and manga series.
Haikyuu!! is a sports manga series created by Haruichi Furudate. It ran in Shueisha’s first weekly Shonen Jump magazine from February 2012 until July 2020 and comprises a total of 45 volumes. The series inspired anime adaptations, video games, films, stage plays, and radio dramas.
