This article examines the question of whether or not Japanese babies cry and looks at the cultural differences in baby crying habits between Japan and other countries, as well as the research behind Japanese baby crying habits. It is found that Japanese infants cry less than those from other countries such as the United States or England, due to differences in parenting styles, cultural norms, societal expectations, stress levels, diet, and genetics. Additionally, understanding these reasons behind a particular culture's infant crying habits allows us to gain insight into different cultural practices and adjust our own parenting practices if necessary.
