This article explores the unique histories of both Korea and Japan to answer the age-old question of which country is older. Based on historical evidence, it can be concluded that Korea is older than Japan, having been founded in 57 BC compared to 660 AD for the latter. The two countries have had a complex relationship throughout their shared history, but have managed to maintain peaceful relations since the end of the Cold War.
