This article compares the difficulty of learning Japanese and Chinese, two of the most widely spoken languages in the world. Factors such as language family, writing system, pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar, culture, regional differences, and learning resources are analyzed to determine which language is harder to learn. While both languages have their own unique complexities that make them challenging to learn, personal preferences and learning styles ultimately play a role in deciding which language to study.
