This article explores the history of Greece and Japan and compares their ancient civilizations to determine which one is older. It is widely accepted that Ancient Greece is older than Ancient Japan due to its emergence around 500 BC compared to 300 AD for Japanese culture. Despite their many similarities, there are some key differences between these two ancient civilizations which must be taken into account when comparing them. Ultimately, it can be seen that while both cultures have contributed significantly to world history, Ancient Greek civilization has had a greater influence on global society due to its lasting impact on art, literature, philosophy, politics & science.
