What is Japanese housewife syndrome?
Japanese Housewife Syndrome (Karōshi) is a term used to describe the physical and mental health issues faced by many women in Japan who work long hours and have a high-pressure lifestyle. Symptoms include fatigue, insomnia, headaches, muscle pain, depression, anxiety, and feelings of helplessness or hopelessness. Treatment involves a combination of medications and psychotherapy as well as lifestyle changes such as getting enough sleep each night and taking regular breaks throughout the day. It has an impact on society both economically and socially which is why it's important for society to recognize this problem exists so appropriate measures can be taken to prevent it from worsening further.
