Japan's national animal is the Japanese Macaque, which is known for its white-gray coat of fur and its ability to survive in cold temperatures. This species is featured prominently in artwork and literature as a symbol of resilience, courage, and strength. Other animals found in Japan include wild boar, deer, foxes, bears, badgers, weasels, rabbits, squirrels, raccoons and even whales and dolphins off the coastlines of Japan’s many islands.
