What is normal breakfast in Japan?
In Japan, breakfast is a time to start the day off with a hearty meal that provides energy and nutrition. Traditional Japanese breakfasts consist of steamed white rice, miso soup, pickled vegetables, grilled fish or other seafood, tamagoyaki (Japanese omelet), and nattō (fermented soybeans). Popular Western-style breakfasts have become increasingly popular in recent years. Eating out for breakfast has also become popular due to its convenience factor. Bento boxes are another option which come pre-packaged and contain small portions of several different items. No matter what your taste buds crave, there is something for everyone when it comes to breakfast in Japan.
