Why is English popular in Japan?
English has become a popular language in Japan due to its long history of cultural exchange and globalization. During the Meiji period, many foreigners brought their languages and cultures to Japan, including English. The Japanese education system also promoted the language by making it compulsory for students aged 6-15 to learn it. Technology has made it easier for people to access online resources and social media platforms have connected them with native speakers. Globalization increased opportunities for international trade and immigration from other countries has exposed Japanese people to different languages. All these factors have led to English becoming an important part of Japanese culture today.
