The complete list of winners has been revealed for the second American Manga Awards, which occurred at the Japan Society in New York City on August 21, 2025. The awards were again held in partnership between Anime NYC and the Japan Society.
VIZ Media acted as the “Gold Sponsor” of the 2025 American Manga Awards and garnered industry support from Mad Cave Studios and Saturday AM, among others.

Furthermore, the manga translation and lettering company Studio Proteus was recognized as this year’s inductee into the Manga Publishing Hall of Fame. Among the esteemed individuals acknowledged for the induction were late founder Toren Smith, translator and first Hall of Fame member Frederik Schodt, letterer Tomoko Saito, translators Dana Lewis and Alan Gleason, writer/artist Adam Warren, and letterers/retouch artists Tom Orzechowski and Lois Athena Buhalis.
The American Manga Awards honors “outstanding achievements in the world of Japanese comics” and recognizes professionals who have “significantly contributed to manga’s popularity in both North America and Japan.”
