VTuber Akami Karubi, the protagonist of a new manga by Aka Akasaka and Shiromanta, performs the opening track “Uzakawaikute Nani ga Warui!” In addition, Kohana Lam will perform the ending song “Hoshi no Kodo.”

It is an adaptation of the light novel series authored by Days With My Stepsister’s Ghost Mikawa and illustrated by Tomari. J Novel Club summarizes the story as:
If a girl teases you, that means she likes you! Unfortunately, Akiteru knows from experience that this isn’t true. Every girl he meets treats him with disdain, leaving him without a single date! Fortunately, his main concern is reserving a slot for him and his game-development friends at his uncle’s company. However, when his uncle imposes a condition that includes posing as his daughter’s boyfriend, Akiteru finds himself with no option but to agree. How will his best friend’s sister Iroha, who constantly bullies him, react to the news?

The light novel series, published under SB Creative’s GA Bunko label, commenced in April 2019 and currently has 11 volumes available as of March 2025. A manga adaptation by Hira Hiraoka is also in circulation.
The anime was initially announced in January 2021.
