The series made its world premiere at Anime NYC 2025.
Hero Without a Class: Who Even Needs Skills? is adapted from the light novel series authored by Shichio Kuzu and visually brought to life by Yumehito Ueda. One Peace Books describes the manga adaptation crafted by Akio Nanae as:
In a world where individuals gain a Class and Skills upon turning ten, which significantly influences their lives, Arel, the offspring of Sword Princess Farah and Archmage Leon, discovers that he possesses… no class whatsoever!
With the absence of a class and skills, Arel must rely solely on hard work. Therefore, he embarks on intense training, using his intellect and cleverness to evolve into a completely new kind of hero!

Hero Without a Class: Who Even Needs Skills? originally began as a Shosetsuka ni Naro web novel in 2017. The first volume of the light novels, released under the Earth Star Novel imprint, debuted in 2018.
Ueda and Nanae serve as the original character designers for the anime.
