The key staff for the new season has also been announced:
• Chief director: Tatsuya Yoshihara (who previously directed)
• Director: Hideaki Nakano (Devils’ Line)
• Character designer and chief animation director: Sayaka Ono (returning)
• Music composer: Yuki Hayashi (returning)
• Animation production: BN Pictures and ACTAS (both returning, but with reversed credit order)

The new, magical dungeon-adventure fantasy series from the creator of Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? In pursuit of fulfilling a promise to a childhood friend, Will Serfort joins Regarden Magical Academy with aspirations of reaching the pinnacle of the magical realm. However, there’s one major obstacle: he is unable to utilize magic! Can his proficiency with swords be the key to unlocking his true abilities?
The manga began its serialization in 2020 in Kodansha’s Bessatsu Shonen Magazine. As of July 2025, there are 13 volumes available.
