Inexpressive Kashiwada and Expressive Oota Introduce 2 Additional New Cast Members

Two additional cast members have been revealed for the upcoming Inexpressive Kashiwada and Expressive Oota TV anime. The series is set to debut in Japan on October 4, 2025.
The two new cast members portray the older siblings of the main characters, including Shiori Mikami as Oota’s sister and Daisuke Kishio as Kashiwada’s brother.

Tomohiro Kamitani (Mix: Meisei Story Season 2) is helming the anime series, with Michiko Yokote (Call of the Night) as the series screenwriter and Naoto Nakamura (DATE A LIVE IV and V) taking on character design and chief animation direction. STUDIO POLON is responsible for the animation production.
The anime is adapted from the romantic comedy manga by Fuyu Azuma, which was serialized in KADOKAWA’s Dragon Comics Edge from June 22, 2018, to June 9, 2023. A total of ten tankobon volumes were released. Both BookWalker Global and MangaPlaza have made the manga available in English digitally.
A new spinoff manga by Azuma was also launched on October 13, 2023, and has published two tankobon volumes as of April 2025.
