Featured in this visual are Erika Amano and Ai Mochizuki, with Ai catching attention thanks to her oversized shirt depicting the main character, Nagi Umino.
Ⓒ吉河美希・講談社／カッコウの許嫁製作委員会2A Couple of Cuckoos is inspired by the romantic comedy manga penned by Miki Yoshikawa, which commenced in 2020 in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine and currently boasts 28 volumes as of June 2025. Kodansha USA describes the manga as follows:
16-year-old overachiever Nagi Umino, a second-year student at Meguro River Academy high school, was swapped at birth. On his way to a dinner to meet his biological parents, he unexpectedly crosses paths with the bold and outspoken Erika Amano, who is intent on making Nagi her pretend boyfriend as she has no desire to marry for real. However, when Nagi arrives at dinner, he discovers that his parents aim to settle the hospital mix-up by conveniently marrying him off to the daughter his birth parents raised… who turns out to be none other than Erika herself!
The anime’s inaugural season premiered in 2022.
