Upcoming horror TV anime Kaya-chan Isn’t Scary is set to premiere in January 2026. A 15-second commercial and a new visual, depicting a contrast between the ordinary and the supernatural, have also been released.

Ikehata Hiroshi (Witch Watch, Dark Gathering) is directing the anime at East Fish Studio. The lead cast features Azusa Tachibana as Kaya-chan and Maya Uchida as Chie-sensei.
The manga is being serialized on Shinchosha’s Kurage Bunch website, with seven volumes released as of June 2025.
