MAPPA has unveiled a collection of newly illustrated pieces for one of its anime franchises, this time spotlighting Jigokuraku: Hell’s Paradise. These illustrations are part of the upcoming MAPPA EXPO 15th Anniversary exhibition, where the art will be displayed alongside exclusive merchandise. The event is scheduled to take place in Tokyo from September 16 until December 7, 2026, after which it will tour various locations throughout Japan.
In the past, the studio showcased multiple visuals, including those for JUJUTSU KAISEN, Chainsaw Man, and Attack on Titan. The exhibition will also include several large-scale installations associated with the franchises.
The Hell’s Paradise artwork highlights the main characters, featuring Gabimaru, Sagiri, Yuzuriha, Chobei, Toma, Gantetsusai, Fuchi, along with Shion, Tenza, and Nurugai. Visuals can be viewed below.

The Hell’s Paradise manga was written and illustrated by Yuji Kaku, serialized from 2018 to 2021 on the Shonen Jump+ platform. Viz Media has licensed the manga in English, while Crunchyroll offers the anime. With MAPPA animating it, two seasons have been released to date.

The narrative centers around Gabimaru, a shinobi hailed as the strongest in Iwagakure. After rejecting his violent lifestyle, he finds himself on death row and is sent to an island to seek the Elixir of Life as a means to be acquitted and reunite with his wife. Upon arriving at the island, he discovers that it is far from ordinary, and survival will pose significant challenges, much less the quest to locate the elixir.
