Toho Animation is set to unveil a special report segment on its official YouTube channel that will highlight L.A.’s Anime Expo 2026. The program is scheduled to air on Sunday, August 16 at 12 p.m. JST / Saturday, August 15 at 8 p.m. PDT, showcasing esteemed hosts and guests as they discuss the brand’s involvement in last month’s convention.
In its first collaboration with Toho Animation, virtual live-streamers Shu Yamino and Meloco Kyoran, part of the global VTuber initiative “Nijisanji En,” will host the program and present highlights from Anime Expo. The event will feature the duo’s characteristic lighthearted banter, accompanied by on-location footage, and will be accessible with English audio as well as Japanese subtitles.
Shu and Meloco will take viewers on a journey through the event space, showcasing footage from the Toho Animation booth and the panel stage, which features renowned voice talent behind characters from the brand’s various anime titles. These titles include popular series such as My Hero Academia, Jujutsu Kaisen, Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End, The Apothecary Diaries and Though I Am an Inept Villainess.
Audiences can look forward to a program that encapsulates the event ambiance of Anime Expo 2026, along with the displays and panels that many attendees may not have had the chance to experience directly.

Ohioboss Satoyu
Insightful commentary will also be contributed by Hana Hishikawa, the voice of Leelee in the anime Though I Am an Inept Villainess. During her first-ever panel appearance, Hishikawa will discuss the series’ charm and the character she portrays. Staying true to the show’s theme, she will also respond to questions from Shu and Meloco.
Ohioboss Satoyu, an internationally celebrated content creator, will be providing coverage from the Toho Animation booth. In collaboration with Shu and Meloco, Satoyu will focus on the exhibits presented at the booth that allow viewers to immerse themselves in the worlds of Toho Animation’s beloved titles.
Furthermore, the complete episode will delve into items exclusive to Los Angeles and feature an introduction to merchandise from Toho Animation Stor U.S.
