Betrothed to My Sister’s Ex Reveals 3rd New Key Visual

A third new key visual for the ongoing Betrothed to My Sister’s Ex TV anime series was revealed after the broadcast of the eighth episode on August 23, 2025. The anime first aired in Japan beginning July 4, 2025, and is set to consist of 12 episodes.

The anime adapts the manga by Chikage Nakakura, based on a light novel series written by Tobirano and illustrated by Mai Murasaki (credited for the original character designs in the anime’s credits). Futabasha debuted the light novels on April 15, 2020, releasing nine volumes as of August 2025, with the latest six volumes available as e-books. The series originally began as a Shosetsuka ni Naro web novel in 2019.
The manga adaptation by Nakakura started on July 24, 2020. Seven Seas Entertainment secured the rights for an English release.

Marie, the second daughter of a poor baron’s household, is treated like a servant by her parents. Even at Marie’s birthday party, her beautiful elder sister, Anastasia, is the center of attention. Outside, Marie encounters Count Kyuros Granado, who becomes infatuated with her at first sight. However, due to a misunderstanding, the Count proposes to Anastasia. Following a tragic accident, Marie finds herself having to marry the count instead!
