Image source: @nakataniiiBloom into You creator Nio Nakatani‘s next serialized manga Kimi wa Shumatsu (You Are the End) will make its debut in the November 2025 issue of Dengeki Daioh, which will be released on September 27 JST.
The manga is a romantic comedy, but one where the heroine appears to be an extraordinarily powerful being. The text on an announcement page for the upcoming title suggests the male protagonist (?) being at the mercy of the heroine, and mentions that things are not going well in both romance and the world.
There’s also a play on the term sekai-kei (a loosely defined genre where you might find a central human relationship that can shape the fate of the world) — aside from using kanji for the “sekai”/”world” part of the term instead of the typical katakana writing, “kai” is presented with the kanji associated with destruction.
Image source: @nakataniiiAdding to the intrigue, the preview illustration for Kimi wa Shumatsu displays the heroine with an unusual right eye, and her legs and left arm appear to separate like slime. Some of that brown substance is wrapped around the male character, lifting him into the air, while the heroine rests her face and right hand on his head.

Nakatani’s previous serialized work was God Bless the Mistaken, which took place in a world with strange phenomena referred to as bugs. God Bless the Mistaken debuted in 2021, about two years after the yuri manga Bloom Into You concluded, and released its fourth and final volume in 2024.
