A fresh key visual, main trailer, additional cast members, and theme songs have been unveiled for the anticipated second season of Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill, set to debut in Japan on October 7, 2025.
The new trailer also showcases the new opening theme “yummy goodday” by Cent Chihiro Chittiii and the ending theme “SALT AND PEPPER” by Chelmico.
Some returning staff from the first season working on the second season include Kiyoshi Matsuda as director, Michiko Yokote as series screenwriter, Nao Ootsu and Tsuyoshi Kuwahara (Twittering Birds Never Fly: The Clouds Gather co-character designer) as character designer, Kenji Takahashi (previously Campfire Cooking in Another World Season 1 unit director, storyboard, and episode director) as assistant director, Kodai Kato (previously Campfire Cooking in Another World Season 1 production desk) as animation producer, and BAX as food supervisor. MAPPA is responsible for the animation production.
The anime is adapted from the fantasy light novel series by Ren Eguchi and illustrated by Masa. It originated as a web novel on Shosetsuka in Naro in January 2016 and was later published by Overlap on November 25, 2016, with 16 volumes released as of December 2024. It inspired a manga adaptation created by Akagishi K and the spinoff Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill: Sui’s Great Adventure written by Momo Futaba in August 2018.
J-Novel Club has made the light novels and manga available in English digitally, while Yen Press handles the print versions of both the light novel and manga.
Crunchyroll is streaming the first season of Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill, which aired in 2023 for 12 episodes, and is set to do the same for the second season. It summarizes the first season as follows:
