The upcoming TV anime adaptation of the Draw This, Then Die manga has received a teaser trailer along with a release date set for 2026. The trailer introduces us to manga-loving protagonist Ai Yasumi, her teacher Rei Teshima, and Ai’s imaginary friend Robota.
It was also announced that Hiroaki Akagi (The Dangers in My Heart) will be directing the anime at Shin-Ei Animation.
The Draw This, Then Die (Kore Kaite Shine) manga centers around Ai Yasumi, a high school student from Izu Oshima island (the birthplace of creator Minoru Toyoda) who starts to think about creating manga following a particular incident. It began serialization in 2021 and is set to release its eighth volume on October 10, 2026 JST. It is published in Shogakukan’s Gessan.
