© 荒川弘・新書館／『百姓貴族』製作委員会A second new main trailer has been unveiled for the upcoming third season of Hyakusho Kizoku-the farmer’s days, which showcases various scenes from future episodes. Season three is set to air in Japan starting on October 3, 2025. The latest trailer also brings attention to the third season’s ending theme song “Kage ni Nari Hinata ni Nari” performed by rock band pachae.
Yutaro Sawada (returning) is directing the third season and is also the scriptwriter. Ayane Matsumoto (Bocchi the Rock! Ending 3 animator) is returning as the character designer, animation director, and animator, with Spectrick taking care of the music composition and Ari focusing on the background art. Pie in the sky is once again responsible for the animation production of the series. Meanwhile, the anime’s main voice cast consists of:

- • Shigeru Chiba as Oyaji-dono
- • Kujira as Okan
The first season of the short anime series premiered in Japan from July 7, 2023, to September 22, 2023, consisting of 12 episodes. The second season began airing in Japan on October 4, 2024, and wrapped up with another 12 episodes on December 20, 2024. REMOW streamed the first season via the It’s Anime YouTube channel with multiple subtitle options.
The anime adapts Hiromu Arakawa’s autobiographical farming essay manga, focusing on her seven years as a farmer in Hokkaido before establishing herself as a manga artist. The series has been serialized in Shinshokan’s Wings magazine since July 28, 2009. It first debuted in Un Poco from December 28, 2006, until March 28, 2009, when the magazine ceased publication. The series is now serialized in Wings magazine and has published eight tankobon volumes as of December 2023. The now-defunct JManga service previously provided the manga in English digitally in 2012.
