Kusunoki’s Garden of Gods Features Yuichiro Umehara, Reveals New Character Trailer

A fresh character trailer has been released for the forthcoming Kusunoki’s Garden of Gods TV anime series, which reveals the casting of Yuichiro Umehara as Saiga Harima. The anime is set to commence broadcasting in Japan in 2026.

The slice of life fantasy light novel series is authored by Enju and illustrated by ox, first published by ASCII Media Works’ Dengeki no Shinbungei imprint on November 17, 2021, with 10 volumes released as of July 2025. The series is also recognized in Japan as Kami no Niwatsuki Kusunoki-tei. 
The series started as a Shosetsuka ni Naro web novel in April 2021. A manga adaptation by Akira Anzai also commenced in November 2021.

Yen Press licensed the Kusunoki’s Garden of Gods light novels for English publication, and provides the main synopsis of volume one as:
Deep in the countryside, Minato Kusunoki is tasked with overseeing a daunting house filled with malevolent spirits — or at least it was, until his remarkable talent banished them all! In their place, a procession of extraordinary and quirky gods is attracted to the comfort of the cleansed Kusunoki home, and Minato enjoys his days unwinding in the company of his divine neighbors.
