© Let’s Play Production CommitteeThe forthcoming anime adaptation of the Let’s Play webcomic has unveiled a main trailer and a main visual.
It was also revealed that:
• Let’s Play will debut on October 1.
• Toshinobu Kubota will provide the opening (“1, 2, Play”) and ending theme song (“Left & Right”).
• The voice cast (in addition to the previously announced Kana Hanazawa as the main character Sam Young) will feature Ayane Sakura, Yoko Hikasa, Hiroshi Watanabe, Kengo Tsujii, among others.
The Let’s Play webcomic by Leeanne M. Krecic started in 2016 on WEBTOON and had three “seasons” published there. In 2022, Krecic announced that there would not be a fourth season on WEBTOON due to various challenges with the platform.
Crunchyroll will stream the anime and describes the storyline as:
Samara “Sam” Young is a game developer in Los Angeles who’s on the brink of fulfilling her dreams with her first video game, Ruminate. However, a popular streamer gives the game a harsh review. To make matters worse, Sam discovers that the critical streamer is now her new neighbor! Immerse yourself in a comedic, romantic, and all-too-real tale about gaming, memes, and social anxiety. Come for the narrative, stay for the doggo.
