Live-Action One Piece Series Teases New Characters for 2nd Season in First Look Video, Confirms Season 3

During the ONE PIECE DAY’25 event and livestream, a new first look promotional video was unveiled for the forthcoming second season of Netflix’s live-action One Piece series. The video also revealed that a third season is currently in the works.
The new first look video showcases several new characters set to appear in the second season, including Miss All Sunday, Miss Wednesday, Brogy, and Smoker, among others. The second season will be titled “One Piece Into the Grand Line” and is anticipated to premiere on Netflix in 2026.

Among the new cast members for the second season are:

• • Sendhil Ramamurthy as Nefertari Cobra
• • Katey Sagal as Dr. Kureha
• • Mark Harelik as Dr. Hiriluk
• • Callum Kerr as Smoker
• • Julia Rehwald as Tashigi
• • Rob Colletti as Wapol
• • Ty Keogh as Dalton
• • David Dastmalchian as Galdino/Mr. 3

Meanwhile, the show’s principal cast returning from the first season includes:

• • Iñaki Godoy as Monkey D. Luffy
• • Mackenyu as Roronoa Zoro
• • Emily Rudd as Nami
• • Jacob Romero Gibson as Usopp

Joe Tracz (co-executive producer of Percy Jackson and the Olympians) is taking on the role of showrunner for the second season, having joined the series as a new writer and executive producer. Matt Owens was the original showrunner for the first season but stepped down earlier in March. Steven Maeda, who collaborated on the series with Owens and served as co-showrunner in the first season, continues to be involved as an executive producer.
Netflix’s One Piece live-action series is a collaboration with Tomorrow Studios (Cowboy Bebop live action, Snowpiercer TV series). The first season consisted of eight episodes and was made available on Netflix on August 31, 2023.
