BUMP OF CHICKEN has been revealed as the artist for the ending theme of My Hero Academia Final Season.

The track is named “I” and will premiere in the anime on October 11, which means it will not be featured during the premiere on October 4.

A video announcement for “I” has also been released:

My Hero Academia Final Season marks the eighth season of the My Hero Academia anime series, adapted from Kohei Horikoshi’s superhero action manga. It will be accessible on Crunchyroll and the Ani-One Asia YouTube (through ULTRA membership) in international markets.

The original Weekly Shonen Jump manga was published from 2014 to 2024 and has the following synopsis provided by Viz Media:
Middle school student Izuku Midoriya desires to become a hero more than anything; however, he lacks any powers. With no hopes of gaining entry into the esteemed U.A. High School for aspiring heroes, his future appears increasingly bleak. An unexpected meeting with All Might, the greatest hero of all time, offers him a chance to redefine his fate.

In addition to the TV anime, there have been four My Hero Academia films and an adaptation of the My Hero Academia: Vigilantes spin-off. The second season of the latter is scheduled for January 2026, providing My Hero Academia enthusiasts with plenty of anime content to enjoy over the upcoming months. There are also video games and an anticipated Hollywood live-action film.

BUMP OF CHICKEN is a rock band that was formed in 1994. Their 2024 single “Kaiko” was recently featured in a promotional video for the March Comes in Like A Lion manga’s 18th volume.
